Full job description

Summary of Duties:

The Riding Instructor provides therapeutic and adaptive horseback riding lessons to individuals with various physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral special needs, ranging from beginners to intermediate riders aged 3 years and older. Responsibilities include leading group and individual lessons, coordinating with volunteers, managing emergency situations on-site, and maintaining communication with parents and caregivers regarding lesson progress. The role involves keeping detailed lesson records, assisting with horse care, barn chores, and facility maintenance. Essential duties also include adhering to agency policies, demonstrating effective communication skills, working effectively in a dynamic team environment, and handling confidential information with sensitivity. The position requires physical strength, organizational skills, and a commitment to working with individuals of all abilities.
