Job Description:

Calicinto Ranch is located in San Jacinto, California (Riverside County). 

We are looking for an Assistant Director for our Horse Program beginning June 2026 through mid August 2026. 

 

Calicinto Ranch reaches out and serves many children whose parents are/were incarcerated.  We work with law enforcement to help heal mistrust and past experiences.  Our main focus is to provide the Gospel and Love of Jesus Christ who is able to bring healing and hope to their situations and lives.  Horseback riding and basic horse grooming is a favorite for many of these kids.  We also have farm animals, crafts, cooking and ranch activities.

Position would include housing (bunk) and camp meals.

Duties would include:

Assisting Horse Director with horse/pony care, excersizing, tacking, teaching basic lessons (most children have never riden), tack up keep.  Also being flexible with helping with other activities around ranch.

 

Requirements:

CHA level 2 Western

Live Scan/background check

Christian – love for Christ

Love for horses/ponies

Love for KIDS   

Team Oriented – Be able to be flexible and work with other staff and volunteers
