Barn Manager & Riding Instructor Positions

Company:
Camp Lincoln for Boys – Lake Hubert, Minnesota , United States of America

Job Description:

Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert have 110+ years experience of creating fun and adventure in Minnesota’s lake country. Our approach towards cultivating the men & women who join us is through the acquisition and sharpening of skillsets. Located across Lake Hubert, our brother/sister camps create relationships & skills for life.

Catering to a diverse group of campers and staff, we are committed to excellence in camping and building up our staff and campers with opportunities for personal growth. Alumni from all across the USA and around the world talk with pride about their wonderful memories and the great summers at Camp Lincoln and Camp Lake Hubert.

Who are we? Brother and sister camps dating back to 1909, two of the oldest, best and most respected camps in the Midwest as we enter our 113th summer.

Why do we do it? It's simple… for the kids. Our mission is to provide life-changing summers by helping kids grow mentally, physically, spiritually and socially.

Who Are The Campers? Our campers and staff come from virtually every state and from around the world, providing a diverse community that’s perfect for developing lifelong friendships.

What is a “Traditional Camp”  We focus on each camper as a whole, developing character and physical skills through a wide variety of activities – not just one specialty. Our campers know our creeds, codes and values and live by them.

Each camp employs approximately 110 seasonal staff members looking to make a difference in the life of a child while having an experience like no other… just like you! Each camp offers over 40 different activities giving each camper and staff member a chance to take risks and grow.

As Barn Manager, you will be spending a majority of your day in the Barn and pasture. You will be working closely with our Riding Director. Your responsibilities will include: caring for the well-being of the horses, equipment & supply care, barn maintenance, setting & enforcing safety rules, emergency procedures, and supervision.

You will have the opportunity to work with our favorite four-legged campers and enjoy the summer working alongside staff and campers who love horses just as much as you. You’ll also have a cabin of kids that you can call home, and together you all can create your best summer ever!

The Riding Director is responsible for the safety and achievement progress of all participants. The Riding Director works directly with the Barn Manager to ensure the safety of all participants and equines. The Riding Director oversees the Riding Instructors and provides them with feedback & assistance in providing quality lessons for participants.
