Horsemanship Director

 

Palomar Christian Conference Center is a non-profit, faith-based camp and retreat center near San Diego, CA.

 

The Horsemanship Director is responsible for:

-Oversite and care of horse herd (10-13 horses)

– Development and leadership of 8 weeks of Girls Horse Camp every summer

– Leading trail rides for guests of all ages year round

 

Qualifications:

– Active relationship with God and able to lead others in their faith.

– A leader who is enthusiastic, compassionate toward people and horses, organized, able to cast a vision for the future and run the day-to-day operations

– Able to instruct safe, fun, and effective intermediate group lessons mainly in Western, with some English, disciplines (CHA Level 2 or higher)

– Knowledgeable in equine first aid, nutrition, and herd management

– Knowledgeable about camp programming – horse and non-horse activities
