Job Description:

Horse Exercise Rider – payrate  $21 – $23 per hour based on experience, plus it is a part time position about 18 to 20 hours per week.

Job Description:

Duties Include; • Move, tack-up/tack-down several horses per day • Exercise horses – round pen, walk, trot and canter • Observe/report horse health and condition as needed • Observe/report tack/environment conditions as needed • Maintain horse exercise logs • Driving/use of electric carts • Keep tack rooms and associated areas safe and clean • Able to work in all mountain weather conditions • Other duties/projects as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Qualifications Include; • A commitment to workplace safety • Experience riding horses • Proven knowledge of horses, physically and behaviorally • Some knowledge of Soft Feel / Natural Horsemanship Methods as taught by Tom & Bill Dorrance, Ray Hunt and Buck Brannaman • Riding Instructor experience is a bonus • Professional demeanor, clean and organized • Project a positive public image • Excellent initiative and enthusiasm • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Excellent verbal communication skills • Drug free and can pass a background check • Respectful, follows verbal and written directions • Capable of frequent lifting up to 50lbs. (Western saddles).
